Taiga Building Products is seeking a full-time Treater to join our Envirofor BC branch. The treater is responsible for the efficiency of the treatment plant and thereby maximizing its production volumes. By controlling the treatment solution strengths in conjunction with the processing times, the product is processed to the correct retention levels. For every ‘charge’ processed, the treatment process parameters are recorded and Q.C. tests are performed to ensure targets and Good Work Practices are met.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages time to ensure production volumes are maximized
- Monitors treating parameters during processing
- Records clear and precise data from multiple sources
- Controls the movement of product into, out of and throughout the plant
- Performs Quality Control tests as required
- Performs housekeeping of Plant to keep it clean and in good condition as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledgeable of lumber species and characteristics
- Possess the skill to troubleshoot issues as they occur
- Is proficient in math
- Capable of memorizing stocking product codes
- Is organized and is effective in time management
- Has good hygiene habits
- Must be willing to work towards obtaining a Treater Certificate from WPC.
- Must have own transportation (no transit in the area).
