Tan Thiam Chai – Director

Mr. Chai graduated with a Diploma in Commerce (Financial Accounting) from Kolej Tuanku Abdul Rahman and also completed the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK) professional course in 1981. He is a Fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK) since 1990 and also a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. Mr. Chai joined Berjaya in early 1991 as a Finance Manager of an operating subsidiary and was promoted to Operation Manager later that year. In 1992, he was transferred to the Corporate Head Office of Berjaya to head the Internal Audit Group and in 1993, he was promoted to oversee the Group Accounting of Berjaya. Currently, Mr. Chai is the Chief Financial Officer of Berjaya Corporation Berhad and also heads the Group Accounts & Budgets Division of Berjaya Corporation Group of Companies. He is also an Executive Director of Berjaya Assets Berhad, a Director of Magni-Tech Industries Berhad, Berjaya Food Berhad, Cosway Corporation Berhad, Indah Corporation Berhad and Cosway Corporation Limited (Hong Kong). Mr. Chai also holds directorships in several other private limited companies.
