Taiga Building Products is currently looking for a full-time Forklift Operator to join the team at our Edmonton branch. The primary responsibility of the Forklift Operator is to efficiently and accurately move building materials within the warehouse, ensuring smooth operations for both inbound and outbound goods, and contributing to overall productivity.
The Forklift Operator will work closely with office staff to stay updated on upcoming orders, material needs, and potential issues. Attention to detail is crucial, as the operator will be responsible for accurately scanning and tracking the movement of materials to their designated locations, ensuring real-time updates in the Warehouse Management System (WMS). Additionally, the operator will help maintain an organized and efficient warehouse environment through consistent material organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Loading and unloading building materials on to and off production lines.
- Loading and unloading of Trucks.
- Helping to optimize/organize the operations of the Treating plant.
- Double checking loads before they leave the yard.
- Entering accurate information into BisTrack computer system and printing documents.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Work with Operations, Sales, and Administration to ensure optimal team performance.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

- Forklift experience loading and unloading flat decks and vans
- Solid working knowledge of computers and the capacity to learn new programs
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Organized and able to prioritize tasks
- Physically fit with the ability to lift 50lbs repetitively
- Work indoors and outdoors in all weather
- Good track record of attendance
- Working knowledge of RF Scanners in a WMS environment is an asset
- Knowledge of building materials is an asset
- Focused on maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team
- Understand the Safe Handling of Chemicals
