Our wholesale offering covers a range of DuPont’s most in-demand building envelope solutions, like DuPont Styrofoam™ XPS insulation. It gives your customers access to trusted products for insulation, air sealing, and moisture protection across residential, commercial, and multi-family applications.
DuPont™ Styrofoam™ XPS Insulation
Rigid extruded polystyrene (XPS) insulation delivers long-term thermal performance, exceptional moisture resistance, and high compressive strength. Suitable for below-grade foundations, exterior wall assemblies, under-slab applications, and protected membrane roofing systems. Now available in a low-GWP formulation with a 94% reduction in embodied carbon.
DuPont™ Tyvek® Water-Resistive Barrier
Tyvek® house and commercial wraps protect the building envelope by keeping bulk water out while allowing moisture vapour to escape, reducing the risk of mould, rot, and structural damage. Available in residential and commercial grades, Tyvek® WRBs are among the most trusted weather-resistive barriers in the industry and are compatible with a wide range of cladding and wall systems.

Why Choose DuPont?
Styrofoam™ Brand XPS, first invented in 1941, effectively created the rigid foam insulation category. Tyvek®, introduced to construction in the 1970s, redefined what a weather-resistive barrier could do. That depth of experience translates directly into products that your customers have learned to trust on projects of every scale and complexity.
Tyvek® wraps and Styrofoam™ XPS continuous insulation are designed with compatible installation details, shared technical documentation, and unified warranty coverage for qualifying assemblies. This system-level approach reduces specification risk, simplifies installation and training, and provides your customers with a clear path to compliance and long-term performance.
Styrofoam™ Brand XPS now offers a low-GWP formulation with a 94% reduction in embodied carbon, is manufactured with 100% renewable electricity, and has a published Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) from UL Environment. Tyvek® products support LEED, ENERGY STAR, and other green building programs.

Frequently Asked Questions
What DuPont products does Taiga distribute?
Taiga’s DuPont product offering includes Styrofoam™ Brand XPS rigid foam insulation, and Tyvek® water-resistive barriers. Product availability varies by region. Contact your local Taiga representative for more information and a current listing of DuPont products available through our distributor network.
How do DuPont building products support energy code compliance in Canada?
DuPont’s building envelope products are designed to help buildings meet and exceed the requirements of the National Building Code of Canada (NBC), the National Energy Code for Buildings (NECB), and provincial equivalents such as the BC Energy Step Code. Styrofoam™ Brand XPS insulation helps achieve effective R-value targets by providing continuous thermal insulation that reduces thermal bridging, while Tyvek® WRBs contribute to air and moisture control requirements built into modern energy codes. DuPont also offers a Canadian Code Assessment Engine to help specifiers and builders navigate compliance requirements by region.
What is the difference between Tyvek® HomeWrap® and Tyvek® CommercialWrap®?
Tyvek® HomeWrap® is designed for residential construction, providing reliable bulk water resistance and air barrier performance for single-family and low-rise multi-family applications. Tyvek® CommercialWrap® is engineered for larger commercial and multi-family projects, offering higher tensile strength, greater tear resistance, and enhanced durability to withstand the longer exposure times and more demanding installation conditions typical of commercial job sites. Both products share Tyvek®’s core breathable structure, which allows moisture vapour to escape while blocking liquid water and air infiltration, but CommercialWrap® is built to the heavier-duty performance requirements of commercial construction specifications.
What makes Tyvek® different from other house wraps?
Tyvek® is made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) fibres using a flash-spun nonwoven process, which gives it a unique structure that blocks liquid water and air infiltration while still allowing water vapour to pass through. This breathability helps walls dry out after any moisture intrusion, reducing the risk of mould and structural damage over time. Compared to many competing house wraps, Tyvek® has a long track record of performance, broad compatibility with cladding systems and code acceptance across Canadian jurisdictions, and is backed by DuPont’s warranty program for both residential and commercial applications.
Are DuPont building products suitable for both residential and commercial projects?
Yes. DuPont’s building envelope portfolio is designed to address the demands of residential, multi-family, and commercial construction alike. Styrofoam™ Brand XPS insulation is available in formulations suited to everything from single-family foundation walls to large-scale commercial roofing systems. Tyvek® is available in both residential and commercial grades with appropriate specifications for each. Froth-Pak™ spray foam is also commonly used for light commercial air-sealing and insulation applications. As your wholesale DuPont distributor, Taiga can help you identify the right products for the projects your customers are working on.
Does DuPont test its building products for fire performance?
Yes. Fire performance testing and code compliance are key parts of DuPont’s product development and documentation process, particularly for insulation and wall assembly products. Styrofoam™ Brand XPS insulation and select Tyvek® products have been evaluated under relevant fire test standards, including NFPA 285 for exterior wall assemblies. DuPont provides fire performance documentation and NFPA 285-compliant wall assembly details through its resource centre to support architects and contractors in meeting fire code requirements. As with all building envelope products, DuPont insulation and WRB products must be installed in accordance with applicable code requirements and must not be left exposed as a finish surface.
