Taiga Building Products – We have a FULL-TIME, PERMANENT opportunity for a tech-savvy, detail-oriented Financial Analyst. The Financial Analyst will support treasury operations, budgeting, lease administration, and management reporting, while assisting in the preparation of accurate financial reports and supporting month-end procedures. This role will also help modernize finance processes through the effective use of finance systems and digital tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reporting capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly performance reports to support senior management decision-making
- Prepare and maintain leasing schedules, reports, and entries for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
- Process new lease agreements and obtain financing rates
- Administer corporate credit card programs and handle various banking administration as required
- Process capital expenditure (CAPEX) approval requests and administer the workflow
- Support for daily cash management and treasury tasks
- Prepare reports and support for insurance renewals and ongoing programs
- Prepare reports and support for financial and bank audits
- Preparation and support for annual budget within our Vena FP&A software program
- Maintain and support the current FP&A software
- Complete various governmental surveys as requested
- Complete special and ad hoc projects and research as requested by senior management
Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years in financial analysis or accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in business, with a focus in finance or accounting
- High aptitude for technology and learning new systems quickly
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and highly organized
- High proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office products
- Sound judgment, excellent interpersonal, and communication skills
- Self-motivated and growth-oriented
- Strong team player who can also work well independently
- Experience with Great Plains, Management Reporter or Vena is an asset
- Experience with or knack for software systems implementation is an asset
- Experience in building products industry or distribution is an asset
- Proficiency in Power BI or other business intelligence tools
