Truck Driver / Warehouse Forklift Associate

Taiga Building Products is a leading wholesale distributor of building materials, with branch offices across Canada and multiple locations throughout the United States. We are currently seeking a full-time Truck Driver / Warehouse Forklift Associate to join our team in Sanger, CA. In this role, you will support safe, efficient, and dependable operations by making local deliveries between our California distribution centers, while also assisting with warehouse duties, material handling, loading and unloading products, and operating a forklift in a fast-paced distribution environment.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required, including manual transmission experience
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and meet all applicable legal, safety, and company requirements
• Ability to successfully complete all required training, orientation, and road test requirements
• Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Clean driving record, with no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years, subject to company and insurance guidelines
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
• Knowledge of building materials is considered an asset, but is not required
• Working knowledge of Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or inventory control systems
• Experience operating forklifts and handling materials in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred
• Ability to load, unload, organize, and move materials safely and efficiently
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to workplace safety
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck and equipment
• Keep logbooks, delivery paperwork, and required records accurate and current
• Make safe and timely local deliveries between distribution centers and customer locations
• Inspect delivery sites to ensure safe unloading conditions
• Load, unload, and secure materials for transport
• Operate forklifts safely to move, stage, and organize materials
• Assist with warehouse operations, including order pulling and inventory movement
• Communicate with dispatch to support timely and efficient deliveries
• Follow all DOT, company, and workplace safety requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned
