Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced People & Culture Coordinator to join our team in Burnaby, BC. The successful candidate will join the head office People & Culture Team and partner and collaborate with the Taiga Management Team to drive P&C-related initiatives and action plans.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
- A post-secondary degree.
- People & Culture experience is an asset.
- Customer service-oriented professional.
- Good presentation skills, with comfort in presenting and facilitating to groups.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and work with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Service-oriented, with the ability to build good working relationships with multiple stakeholders.
- Resourceful and process-oriented with good business acumen.
- Good understanding of information security, privacy, and compliance concepts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Tactful and articulate with high use of discretion.
- Proficient with MS Office.
- Ability to act quickly and decisively.
- Outstanding coordination and organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Analytical and methodical in your approach to problems with the ability to cope with work-related stress.
- High degree of accuracy & detail-orientation, with flexibility and willingness to perform administrative tasks.
- Good understanding of employment laws and practices.
- Previous experience with event management.
- Able to work outside of regular office hours for events and other P&C initiatives.
- Highly flexible and adaptable in the face of a changing work environment.
- Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
- A positive attitude and works well in a team-oriented environment.
- Working towards CPHR is an asset
Key Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end employee lifecycle (hire – onboard – changes – offboard)
- Support Management in handling Employee Relations matters.
- Support Employee Engagement initiatives and events.
- Support Benefits & Leave administration.
- Support the P&C Department with the development and monitoring of P&C Metrics and reporting areas of concerns and opportunities.
- Provide support to Management on P&C related inquiries.
- Handling confidential employee information
- Exercising sound judgment and ethical decision-making.
- Undertake special projects and administrative duties to support the department as assigned.

Regular Shift Timing: Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate: Burnaby: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required).
