Wood Treatment Plants

Providing top-quality lumber for construction projects

To take advantage of the increasing demand for treated wood, Taiga established a wood preservation plant in 1987 at its distribution centre in New Westminster, BC. By applying various chemical treatments and preservatives, the plant ensures the wood is suitable for long-term use in construction, decking, and other applications where strength and longevity are crucial.

Today, Taiga produces preserved lumber at three plants (ENVIROFOR PRESERVERS LTD., a division of Taiga Building Products) strategically located to service the Canadian market. These lumber treatment plants are among Canada’s most efficient and environmentally friendly preservation plants:

Taiga Building Products purchased Exterior Wood in 2018. Exterior Wood services the Pacific Northwest.
